The Australian Poetry Slam Champion Zohab returned to the house he grew up in Yenda. Growing up in a regional community, Poet Zohab discusses “calling small town Yenda my home as boy helped me to build word playgrounds in my imagination, Yenda has so much to do with why I write poetry.”

Gavin, (2017) Wagga Wagga, NSW

Known in his retirement village as Elvis, you often see Gavin driving around Wagga in his red Chevrolet.  Gavin takes his car to the annual Elvis Festival in Parkes, consistently winning prizes and awards for the best Elvis car on show.

In his bedroom studio Myles’ plans his next creative project. Describing his work the artist says that “Photography is a medium that is like making a diary entry. It allows me to capture a place and document a relationship.”

Every day when the sun is shining Nan sits on her front Veranda. Today she ponders, comparing photographs of my mother and herself and questions where the time has gone.
